100 Word Challenge Week beginning 19.5.14

Well done to Lucy Turney for a persuasive letter.

Dear Sir/Madam,

I’m writing to you so you can listen to my opinion. Little boys and girls want to go to school but not all of them can. Salir has a disease called Polio. He can’t walk anymore so he crawls. His mother says “I don’t want my little boy crawling to school with cars and motorbikes all around him.”

If you want Salir to have a good education then you need to buy him a wheelchair. You can’t just leave a child at home and not do anything to help him get to school.

Yours sincerely

Miss Lucy Turney

Pretending to be particles!

We had fun in our science lesson today pretending to be particles! Can you tell if the children are being a solid, liquid or gas by the way the particles are behaving? (Clue: some children in one picture are vibrating so much they are blurry in the picture!)image image image

100 Word challlenge 12.5.14

Well done to Mia Cookes. You did it! Great work.

“Right class settle down please.” Miss Honey said

Suddenly everyone fell silent and Miss Honey started the History lesson. It was so boring some of the words sounded like a foreign language.

Ring! Ring! Ring!

“Right class off you go!”

Quietly, me and my friend walked out of the classroom onto the playground. Everyone looked like they were having fun, because they were all laughing, but I had a feeling in my bones that something was not right. My teacher is not foreign so how could she be speaking like that? It sprang to mind that she might have been teaching us a foreign language!

100 word challenge week commencing 5.5.14

Well done to Daniel Taylor for his entry this week. The class had some fabulous ideas and this one had a great start. Can anyone add to this and use figurative language to describe the battle?

In a faraway land there was a giant bee. The bee was the same size as a human and terrorized everyone it came across making them leave and never return. Far away from the bee lived a fifteen year old boy and his name was Josh. He was strong and smart and always did what he thought was best.

Josh heard of the giant bee and decided to set out to defeat the monster.  After days of travelling he came across a man who decided to help Josh. When they arrived the bee was in front of them. The battle started!
