A very kind parent bought in some 2 week old chicks for the children to hold. They were noisy but very cute. Thank you.

Class 8 performing Beowulf
100 Word challenge wc 28.4.14
Well done to Alex Milner for this weeks challenge. Feedback with your comments and if you feel like continuing the story, then go ahead.
It was a cloudy and miserable morning when there was rain slashing onto the windows and thunder booming across the town of York. It had been a hard night for me to sleep. We were having a new cupboard delivered as the present one….. well it was a bit old and shabby.
The next day the shiny new cupboard arrived and it was in my bedroom! It looked very posh and when I opened the cupboard door there was a lovely, sunny beach with a comfy chair and an umbrella on top of it. It couldn’t possibly get any better. It was my one dream for life.
Writing competiton

Well done everyone in class 8 who completed the homework ‘Dreams of Hope’ for the writing competition to such a high standard. In fact, there were so many super pieces of work it was very tricky to choose. But I felt that the chosen three just had the edge. Congratulations to Oliver, Lucy and Jennifer who did some amazing work.
